The Netherlands organizing committee invites you to participate in the 16th International
Pathogenic Neisseria Conference (IPNC 2008), 7-12 September 2008 in Rotterdam in the
Beurs World Trade Center, to be in the middle of the latest scientific achievements, to present
your exciting results, to learn from others, to exchange ideas, to intensify ongoing research
collaborations and establish new ones in the Neisseria field.
We kindly welcome colleagues from previous meetings as well as newcomers from all over
the world. As with previous meetings, the scientific programme will cover all aspects of the
Neisseria field, ranging from genetics, surface structures, pathogenic mechanisms, and host
interactions, to epidemiology and vaccine developments. The conference will consist of
plenary lectures, selected oral presentations and posters from submitted abstracts, with plenty
of time for discussions. We hope that the contributions will enhance basic scientific knowledge
and advance vaccine developments.
We are looking forward to a stimulating scientific meeting with the friendly and nice
atmosphere that was characteristic for the previous IPNCs.
